Hiding a pipe sallie00 05/18/07
I have a white plastic pipe (when I measured it, it was 6 1/2 in diameter)going from a sump pump up into the drop ceiling that I had to put by my basement door to prevent flooding in the basement.

I made a mistake, it is a 1 1/2" pipe. It's in open view, that's why I wanted to distract attention from it.

I have used fluted columns that were cut half into to cover pipes that went up a wall.

You may want to call a local lumber yard or building supply store or a millworks company in your area for suggestions for this project.

      It can be done.

I wish you all the best,

      Van
