Thank you labman..I'm working with a backup of Outlook idadw 05/15/08
    Thank you Mr. Labman. My orginal laptop is kaput. I'm working with a backup of Outlook and trying to download onto my new laptop.
    Any sugestions?

      Thank you again Mr. Labman. The only files on my Outlook are Contacts. There is nothing in Inbox. What I'm trying to do is move my Contacts from the backup on the external drive to the new laptop. As I mentioned in my first question, when I tried to do this function I got a Caution.

      Again, what you need to do identify where the Contact file is saved, and copy it, rather than open it. You will get a caution about losing the file, but if it is empty, go ahead.
