Purchasing New Central Air Conditioner sallie00 10/26/05
    I hear by 2010, air conditioners will have to use puron instead of freon.

    I was told to get freon 10 seer now, because the puron air conditioners are more expensive units and will the more costly to have serviced.

    I also was told that in the long run it's better to get a puron air conditioner, because freon will probably become more costly, and the freon air conditioners will have to be converted over.

    In your opinion, which is better to get a freon or puron central air conditioner?
