Overstimulation question jpollardsmith 12/30/03
    Hi,

I am a 38 year old male living in a US city. I am very, very sensitive to sensory stimuli--especially noise and smells.

If a bad smelling person sits next to me on a train or I hear loud music from a car, it can ruin a whole day for me.

I live in a quiet, odor-free apartment, and I spend a lot of time in quiet libraries.

I was wondering if this kind of lifestyle is in some way a treatable medical illness. Would you know?

    Thanks,

    John
