Why do I keep hearing about hospitals closing down? Does that mean when someone has a medical emergency and they need to get to the ER fast they might not be able to get to one in time and might die on the way?
Also, I've heard that healthcare jobs are not affected by economic recessions. Can I also assume that healthcare careers will not offer job security anymore?
Many thanks,
C.L.

Sorry I forgot to add, yes some people die on the way to the hospital. Often, if a hospital is too far away and time is of the essence, the patient will be flown by helicopter.
