Entering Golf Scores ldrny 10/16/07
I recently self assessed a 2 strokes penalty on each of the first two holes of my round for carrying more than 14 clubs. I had scored a 4 on each hole before the penalty (6 each after the penalty) and a total of 78 for the round (82 after the penalty). My score did not have to be adjusted for any other reason. When entering my score for handicap purposes, do I enter a 78 or do I enter 82. It does not seem fair to enter an 82 because the 4 stroke penalty has nothing to do with my playing potential.

    Thanks
