| Driving High and fading/slicing |

This is my 2nd summer of playing golf and I've been playing with some cheap clubs. So i decided to get a new driver and I bought the taylormade r7 draw. With my old driver 10.5 loft i would sky the ball and i was able to semi-control my drives but my distance wasn't great or consistent only about 270. With the R7 draw, i started out hitting it pretty well. A more consistent slight fade and about 15 yards further. But later i'm back to hitting my driver extremely high and hard fade to slice with no consistency of control but still hitting it 280-290 with no roll. I was wondering what i could work on to drive the ball lower and get more consistency in control? I've tried moving the ball in my stance and the tee height but still no consistency. Any help would be appreciated. |
Clarification/Follow-up by Dathaeus on 02/12/08 12:16 am: Many apologies btw, if you live in Arizona or a high altitude, very arid climte! Then it may be realistic, but that is still very good by an above-average golfer standards.
