| How do I maximize practice efficiency? |

As a member of the military, finding time to practice is a major issue for me. I used to be a 15 handicap, but due to a long layoff, my handicap has at least doubled. I am looking for ways to practice efficiently.
Most pros I with whom I have consulted never give their students more three things to work on per lesson. How long before I should move on to something else? The issue I have is, often when making changes to my swing, new flaws develop which need to be fixed later. So, in a sense, I take two steps forward and one step back, which does not seem very efficient.
Speaking of efficiency, which is better for developing muscle memory; hitting many balls in one long session, or hitting fewer balls over many practice sessions?
Also, I find practicing putting to be extremely tedious. Anyone have tips on how to make practicing this extremely important aspect of the game more interesting?
Finally, does anyone have any tips on how to maintain a swing when you cannot play or go to the range for significant periods of time? |
