Change in the Length of a Day Ccl471 04/19/05
I read online that the recent earthquake that produced the tsunami permanently shortened the length of a day.

I understand that before, a day was slightly shorter than 24 hours, by a few seconds, I think.

So exactly how long was a day before the earthquake and how long is it now after the earthquake?

    Many thanks,

    C.L.
