Plants as air fresheners question jpollardsmith 05/21/05
    Hi,

I live in a US city where the weather is really only a problem in the summer, with very high temperatures.

Also I'm temperarily living in an extended stay hotel. I think the previous tenant was a smoker because I can smell cigarette smoke. So I keep my window open and my shower vent going all day.

But the high heat is going to force me to shut my window and run the airconditioner a lot, which concentrates the smoke smell.

I was thinking about bringing in some green plants to make the air seem cleaner.

Do plants work in this way, as air fresheners?

    Thanks,

    John
