I have a garden in Zone 6 Southern NJ, I have 2 J. Maples, (Lace Leaf, B. Bush, R. of Sharon, and one, unidentifiable flowering plant with long stems. I also have a hell of a ground ivy problem that I cannot control. I would like to knock/kill that back, but I would also like to stop the weeds from cropping up as they do each spring. It seems that the more I knock them back, the stronger they come back. I would use a pre-emergent such as preen, but I planed Glads and E Ears, and they would become compromised, or so I am lead to believe.
Do anyone have a suggestion?
(I have already tried the black plastic, the mulch, the weed barrier, and all other suggestions, but none seem to work.)
All answers would be wonderful
Thanks,
DILLIGAS
