Hydrogen Peroxide vs. Alcohol vs. Vinegar laparka 01/29/03
What are the relative merits of using hydrogen peroxide vs. alcohol vs. vinegar to disinfect minor wounds? Can ordinary wine or beer be used to disinfect wounds, or is "rubbing alcohol" needed?

      Clarification/Follow-up by laparka on 02/01/03 11:18 pm:
Why is distilled OK, but not distilled not OK?

      Clarification/Follow-up by Unknown on 02/03/03 5:48 am:
When you distill an alcoholic drink you bring the alcohol to it's boiling point and syphon it off, the alcohol cools back to a liguid in the syphon tube and drips out, leaving the impurities behind.
Water boils at a higher temperature than alcohol and will be left behind with the impurities IF done properly.
