I dont know if you have seen my reply to your question about low ball flight since I kept it private.

    Here is my responce.

    Hello Scott

Glad to hear we could be a little help with your game. Also glad ( and a bit jealous ) to hear your playing at Bethpage.

My thoughts on the ball your using.

I think your fine with the Top Flight super spin, just check to see if they are 90 compression or 100. 90 compression will be better for you because you will have more control with a softer ball. Pro Vs are great but you need a super fast swing speed to play them well.

There are a number of things that cause a lower than usual ball flight. Here are some check points for you to work on.

is the clubface closed (aiming left of the target line)

is the grip too ‘strong’ - too much left hand showing

is the ball too far back in the stance

are the hands too far ahead of the ball at address

is the ball teed too low

is the weight transferred forward onto the left hand side too quickly in the downswing

is the swing speed too slow

    are the shafts too stiff

I think one of the main culprits is the over transfer of weight toward your left side (for right handers)

Dont put to much emphesis on different balls to help with getting the trajectory up. They may help a little but its the fundamentals in the setup and swing that do the job.

I say stay with the top flights and work on those swing points.

    Leon
