bathroom fan mickeyrory 03/29/06
My basement bathroom is not convenient to an outside wall and given that all space under floor joists are filled with a pvc vent to my high efficiency furnace and two additional vents to supply oxygen to the room for the furnace and water heater I don't think I can run a fan vent outside. I'm wondering if there is an alternative to venting outside. Is it absolutely necessary that I install a fan in my new bathroom? Is this usually code or is it simply for the prevention of longterm damage from moisture?
