Dimmer chxq99 06/29/04
    Dear experts,

I am currently using a sliding dimmer to control the brightness of the potlights in my basement and got the following questions which I would like to seek your professional comments:

    1. Would a dimmer help saving energy?

    2. Even I slide the dimmer to the lowest postion, I notice that the potlights are still turning on. In other words, they are still consuming energy. Is there any way that I can turn them off completely?

    Thank you.
