Hi. I have had a lot of frustration with this problem and am now using these Q&A sites as a last resort.
I have been to the library both at college and across the road, but have had no luck in finding lists of species.
I need as much information as possible on every species known, or at least every well known species, of both plant and animal on the planet. I don't expect at all to have found them all in one source, so I split it up into sections and tried searching that way, for example, searching by place, first of all, Northern Canada (because I labelled all of the sections of land from 1 to 50, and N.Canada is 1). That, however hasn't helped. All I can find are minimal results. Most of which are a few selected species displayed on a website or in an informaion book, but nowhere can I get a list of all species in N.Canada.
Thing is, I still have the rest of the world to do.
This might seem like an impossible task, but I'm not including microscopic species, other than collonial microscopic species like algae. I'm also not including sub-species, for example, there may be grouse, but I'm not interested in all the different types of grouse. The main purpose is fictional, in fact, it's which of the world's species would survive a meteorite impact like that which wiped out the dinosaurs. That's why I need all the species in the first place.
Thanks to anyone who can help me find this information. |
