How do I disable the right click feature in my ebay auctions? DILLIGAS 02/27/04
I am finding that many people that sell the same items that I do are scraping my images and posting them on their auctions, AND EVEN THEIR WEBSITES!. I do caption the ones that I do myself with a copyright symbol, my name and year. But that just gets removed or cropped and them comes up on their auctions/sites. This is insane, it is my work product and I cannot even protect it.

Some have suggested that I place transparent gifs over the images, but that is too much work for the number of auctions that I run. A simple script to work in the FrontPage editor that I use for my templates would be fine.

If someone knows where I can locate this on the Internet to learn, or a free posting site that I can go to get the code. (As long as it is posted that I can!)

    Thanks,

    DILLIGAS

Hi I listed the question and I found some information this might be helpful to you. They directed me to a html code that would do this but a lot are saying not to use it for the following reasons

      1. It will only keep the honest people honest, as ctrl+c and ctrl+v will still work and are faster to use anyway.

      2. eBay's policy is to not support any auctions that have a "lock" feature in the HTML meaning if something happens with your listings and you need to revise it, and you need their help to do it, they most likely won't help.

I have the code but I am not sure if it will work off of spare dollar I can email it to you if you like so we don't tie up the board with boring HTML Code. But I don't think it's worth it because i got like 5 responses in the 10 minutes it took for people to answer all saying don't use it.

I would try going to ebay and reporting those stealing your photos and give them item numbers and web site addresses.
