chased by a polar bear netto 06/11/06
    I was outside of a house, not my house, and I saw a polar bear walking down the sidewalk a few hundred feet down the street from me. I started walking behind it for about 50 feet, and then it crossed the street in front of a parked car.

    A car going down the street away from me stopped as the bear crossed in front of it. The bear then started walking back my way, on the other side of the street.

    I turned around and started heading back to the house I started at, and I looked over and didn't see the bear anymore.

    I realized it was a bad idea to be out with a bear around, so I started running toward the house. I looked back as I was running and the bear had seen me and started running toward me.

    I was freaked out and running as fast as I could. The distance I ran seemed like 4x the distance I had walked away from this house, and the bear got closer and closer to me.

    There was a 4 foot high chain link fence around the house I was running to. I was only a few feet from the fence, and looking back, the bear was only a few feet from me!

    That's the last I remember about the bear. I'm not sure if I semi-woke up at that point or what, but the next thing I remember is that I was speculating that I must have gotten away from it.

    First I thought maybe there was a trampoline that I bounced on that flew me over the fence and right up to the front door of the house.

    Again, I never saw the trampoline and I have no memory of bouncing on it.

    Then once inside the house was my house (although my house is larger than the one I was running toward from the outside, and I don't have any fence around my property.

    Then I was thinking if I had gotten into the house, where would I go, since the bear could push the door in.

    I thought maybe I would've gone into the 4 foot crawl space under the house (accessibe from the laundry area), but then I realized I'd be trapped if the bear managed to get down there.

    Then I thought I could go out the attached garage, get in my car, start it, and then open the garage door and drive away.

    But again, in the dream itself the last I saw the polar bear was by the fence, right behind me. I never actually got into the house or over the fence myself...I only THOUGHT about how I would have and what I would have done.

    Ideas????
