Thanks for the answer. My mother told the spelling and evidently it was incorrect. My niece has it and they gave her pills and told her to put neosporin around her mouth. It sounds like she should have a antibiotic ointment.

Neosporin IS an antibiotic ointment. The main thing is for the child to keep her hands off the site--hard to do since impetigo itches and is annoying. Follow the doctor's orders, and your niece will be better in no time! Best wishes!
