Diuretics Anonymous 03/18/04
A couple of days ago I started taking diuretics for severe HBP. However, in the psst I have been diagnosed(ten years ago) with kidney disease, not stage 4 or 5.
I wonder if diuretics are hard on the kidneys. I have been having virtually constant pain in the area of my kidneys since Monday.

hello again, I'd like to add that diruetics force the kidneys to work harder and flush your body of important electrolytes needed to keep you feeling well and funcitoning at your best. Often people can feel a little better if they replace some of the lost electrolytes by taking extra potassium in the form of pills or eating extra potatoes and bananas, drinking orange juice and other potassium rich foods.

      Thanks: I see. I'm concerned.
