Here I am again. As I write this, it is going on 8 p.m. so that makes it almost 9 EST. I hope you will see this today yet.
Btw, as I was pottering around looking for another way to come at you, I ran across a ques. from vijay to you on this page. It obviously can be seen by the public (since I can see it), altho he thought it was private. Maybe something still has to be tweaked to fix that.
I am the firstborn of a Lutheran minister, was a Lutheran teacher (graduated with a BA in Elem. Educ. and concentration in American and English Lit), stayed home for 12 years to raise 2 sons who are now adults, went back to work when they were both in school all day and worked part time as a preschool teacher and part time shelving books at the public library across the street from the school. I have worked in libraries since ? (and finally gave up the teaching in ?), have been a reference librarian, head of circulation, and am now the cataloger and head of tech services, the dept. that first sees all new and donated books etc., then adds them to the library database, gets the material ready to be checked out, etc.
I live in a western suburb of Chicago and work at the library in a southwestern suburb 8 miles from my house. I am a fourth-generation German married to a mongrel English/Scottish/??? man, thus the English-sounding last name.
I too have a disability, degenerative disc disease in my low back, and now walk with a cane since a bad fall down stairs a few years ago.
I have five cats who are my life: Rasputin, Thomas Jefferson (the top cat), (James) Boswell, (Woodrow) Wilson, and Little Frida (Kahlo).
I am a member of Mensa, anal over grammar and punctuation and spelling, a published author, and I want to write again for publication. Right now, I am very hungry, having missed dinner, so I am off to fix something wonderful and hope to hear from you today yet or tomorrow. |
