I was recently diagnosed, with severe (advanced) heart desease! I was told in March, that I have high-blood pressure, then was put on a daily blood pressure pill!
After month's (May) of tests (including blood test and stress), the doctor prescribed lipitor! Then, after my last appointment at my regular doctor, in June of this year, they hit me hard with the news! I had had two major silent heart attacks and wanted me to see a cardiologist.
During the month of June, I was tested for alot of things. I had a catherderization, then a Ultrasound of my heart, and finally a chemical stress test! God I have been through the ringer!
My cardiologist, finally took me into his office, then gave me the bad news! I had advanced heart desease. The two heart-attacks, left me with both valves damaged and 55% loss of heart function! The doctor made me terminate my job and told me to head for disability status! He then prescribed lopressor, asperin, Plavix, and nitroglicerin, including the other two, I take!
I am a 43 year old man, with history of heart desease, cancer, diabetes, and high bloodpressure! I am dealing with this desease in my own way, but I am pressed with further problems! Does this condition cause shortness of breath, loss of motor funtions in the legs, and tiredness? If so please explain! It may be the medicines, with their side effects, too! Any help would be appreciated.
Right now, I have no physical activities, cause I have a high rate of having a massive heart attack. I want to be active, but I am scared of the effect it will have on me. |
