Extraction Choux 02/15/05
I understand that if a person has an extraction in lieu of a root canal or other expensive treatment that the teeth will move. That the bite will be effected negatively. My question is:: what would be the impact of losing a molar on the ability to chew food on that side. Would the chewing be ineffective? Just slightly impared? How long does it take for teeth to separate? Mary Sue

      Hi,
I have had 3 or 4 root canals, and have forgotten the cost. I have dental insurance, so didn't pay the full price.
Also, I am very, very nervous at the dentist's office; so much so that it makes by teeth nerves "stand on end" and much more painful. The dentist suggested Nitrous Oxide a few years ago; it's GREAT.
The roof could fall in and I wouldn't care!
Not much pain now at all!
      Best wishes,
      fredg
