Ever since I got into cycling in high school, I have had this problem: while walking, when I lift my heel off the ground with the ball of my foot still on the ground, I would feel a sharp pain, that almost feels like a strong electric shock, inside the arch of my foot. I've had the problem in both feet. Usually the pain is the worst after a bike ride. I'm thinking that there might be a slight tear in the cartilage there, and when my foot is going through that motion, it stretches the cartilage and pulls on the tear. Is there possibly something wrong with my riding form that might cause something like that?
Many thanks,
