Credit Cards
Diamind 03/21/04
I have got a Platimum Capital One credit card with $200 limit and no annual fees. They say that the limit will increase and interest rates will decrease. I want to use this card only in emergencies, so ideally I would not use it at all and I will not have to pay any fees. But I want to have a good credit history and limit increase, so I will be more confident that I have more emergency cash. If I dont use it at all, they may think that I dont need increase and will not do it or cancel my card or somthing. If I spend $200 and pay them in a month, they may realize I am a good buyer and will increase my card. But they also may realize I am a compulsive buyer. Anyway, what I want to ask is what is an optimal strategy in this situation to improve my credit history and increase the limit on this card?
