squeak in glider craigchamberlain 07/02/03
Hi everyone,I make oak gliders, swings, benchs and things like that.
My question is on my gliders when a person sit's in it there is a squeaking sound when you lean back and I don't know how to stop it.I put 1/4 inch bolts in the 3 brace's that holds the oak strips to the back, plus I have screws by the bolts so it's not loose or anything like that, but some people make comments like saying that noise would drive them crazy ,so I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to stop the squeaking.
    thanks,
    craig

Craig, is the squeeking coming from the slats or from the glider hardware? Does the squeeking occur when someone sits down, without moving the glider?
