A friend of mine counseled me not to buy NAD audio gear. He said he used to have an NAD stereo amplifier that got so hot that smoke came out of it.
However, back during my college days, one of the guys in my dorm bought an NAD receiver at the beginning of the school year, and all through that academic year had no problems with it.
So is NAD a reliable brand, or not?
