Microphone problems PC - Win XP Audacity PrinceHassim 09/06/07

I have a headset with microphone - Jabra GN 5035 with inline controls for on/off and volume - that worked well with Audacity audio recorder until a few days ago.

Once before the mike went down, but raising the volume control put it back where it needed to be.

Now, with all the audio controls up and microphone selected as the input device, the mike is not recognised. I can play previously recorded files in wav and mp3 format, in Audacity, and also on Windows media player, but I want to record some more speech files through the microphone before burning them to CDs.

    Any ideas?

    Ronnie

First, if you know someone else that has a USB mike, I would still try to do a quick switch to see what happens.

The other opetion is to try to re-install the driver for the headset. Do you know how to do this? If not, I can guide you through it is you tell me what O/S you are using.
