| Is UPS output good enough for a computer? |

Is output of a UPS a square wave and is it good for a computer. We have a "AXON" computer hooked to a UPS and then into a wall outlet that is on the grid and with a generator automatic backup. The computers files go corrupt about once a year and this year we had to put a new processor and Memory card because it went down. A tech support in California said that it could be a bad electical ground or because of static. We are going to look into that. I was wondering what quality the AC had to be going into the computer. I thought most inverters produced a square wave and that they were not as good as a sinusodial wave.(Why, I have no idea). Thank you |
