Does the Internet make everyone equal? Conchan 05/27/04

    Hello Mr. Turner,

Recently there have been many news specials about the Internet on TV explaining mainly the benefits of using such a service as it makes everyone equal.

I think that, ideally, the Internet could be a great equalizing tool by allowing people to communicate equally.

But in reality the lack of access in some remoter and poorer parts of countries, or the high cost of access, or the amount of time needed to use it properly makes the ideal impossible.

I would like to hear your opinion on the question " Does the Internet widen the gap between rich and poor? "
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

    Have a nice day.

    Sincerely,
    Conchan
