Synthesis of the EDTA cobalt(III) complex inventorman 12/15/07
I wish to synthesize EDTA cobalt(III)acetate,or [the synonym], bis-(diethylenetriamine)-cobalt(III) acetate and expelling the acetate by heating to 100deg.C to obtain EDTA-cobalt (III)

I do not wish to synthesize from cobalt(II)chloride because I do not want the chloride ion in the final product.

I am thinking of oxidizing cobalt acetate to cobalt (III) either by ambient aeriation for about 4hours, or hydrogen peroxide @35-50% but only if absolutely necessary......All recomendations are appreciated
