What can I do as a sophomore University student in Computer Science department with 2 years of previous full-time work experience as a software developer (Perl, SQL, Visual Basic) to improve my career? My goal is to break 100K salary barier. I study hard, participate in topcoder.com competitions, Valladolid competition, where I solve programming problems. I try to read books, but if I dont have experience with what I read I forget it quickly. I tried to study for a certificate, but I dont feel motivation for this, I dont know why. I guess maybe it is because i like programming, not studying for something around it. Anyway, I wonder what can you advice me on improving my career in IT field?
