Life Paola 12/01/03
    Hello Voiceguy,
Have you got any experience of the "Life Training Weekend"?

    Thanks

    Paola

      Clarification/Follow-up by Paola on 12/01/03 8:57 pm:
      My God,
If I hadn't taken the training I would have been put off by what you said, the training has done so much good to hundreds and hundreds of people, rescuing them from a life of antidepressants and leading them to a life of inner joy and freedom. Those trainers are the official mentors for British Airways and several members of the Government that are out there to serve the population (and I don't mean the ones who are on the limelight only).
I have asked you if you took the training as you claim to be somebody who knows about spiritual growth and so forth.
I appreciate you may have found an article who is not supportive of it, as you can imagine every method has his own disbelievers, but to condemn it upfront is also a judgement that erases the good that the course has done and is doing for hundreds of people.

      Best wishes

      Paola

I was not aware that I had made any special claims about spiritual growth. I assumed you were asking the question because you were considering whether to attend the program.

Here is what I said, specifically:

      1. I am not familiar with the program through personal knowledge.

      2. The description on the Kairos web site seems to be on the up-and-up

      3. I found another page purporting to describe the program which, if true, would cause me to recommend against it.

      4. You should try to confirm the facts for yourself.

I do not see how I could be any fairer in my response. I neither condemned nor recommended the program; I tried to bring what seemed like significant information to the attention of you and anyone reading the question. I recommended that people investigate the facts.

It would be a courtesy to experts here if you would make your intentions clearer when posting questions. Had I known that you were already familiar with this program, I would have approached things differently.

I note, however, that you have not said anything to suggest that the web page I posted is inaccurate in its description of what occurs at these Life Training Weekends. If the description is, in fact, accurate, I would have to take issue with the approach. You are, of course, entitled to your opinion as well.
