Landlord's responsibiltys ChefGeno 01/15/05
    Hello There,
I along with my brother and sister lease our building to a large and established restaruant....the kitchen floor has seen allot of use and wear and tear....it was resurfaced years ago with a expoxy/paint to seal it and make washing and cleaning easier...it is washed twice weekly with stong cleaners and now it has developed some cracks and open spots, caused mostly from the cleaning of the fryers and letting the boiling water run on the floor on it's way to the floor drain. The health dept. wants the floor to be resurfaced, which looks to be a big job, removing lots of equiptment ie: frigs, ice machines, steam tables, work benches and stoves.
Question is: Who is responsible for this?, Landlord or tennant......the lease does not mention this, only that the owner of the building has to repair and keep up the roof, plumbing, electrical, drains, and air conditioning...I probably forgot a few other requirements.
    Thanks
    Gene
