In light of the recent Yankee/Red Sox series having seen some 'purpose' pitches by Pedro and two Yankee sent off for x rays, I wondered...among recent great pitchers, how common is brush back, purpose pitches? Who are the modern all time leaders for hitting batters/moving hitters off the plate? Where can I find record of total hit batters thrown by pitchers in a career? Are there stats kept on pitchers? Help ! |
