I have a friend who accidentally burned his money (not a small sum) while trying to dry it inside a microwave. *I know, not the smartest thing to do, but it happened never the less.
Some of it is unrecognizable, but a lot of it still looks like money, just burned. However, it is blackened and brittle and not spendable in its current condition. Will a bank be willing to exchange these bills for him? If not, would the US treasury department be willing to exchange or replace it? Or is he just out of luck? |

Hi again, sissy:
Never mind what I said. It's no good. Send it to me for proper disposal.
