The movie :The emperor's club has motivated me to surf Roman History. There are a number questions that I have .Please answer whichever in youir expertise: 1.Why did Caesar grieve when Ptolemy handed Pompey's head whereas he has been hunting him down. 2.Is it a customary tradition in Egypt & Romans that brothers & sisters can be married or only for the offspring of the King. Is it not common scientific knowledge that the offspring of such a union would be very inferior & weak. 3.Are Cleopatra's parents brothers & sisters? 4. How did Caesar manage to bring openly Cleopatra to Rome for 2 years while his wife is still around.Or is it an acceptable norm for men to have mistresses at that time openly. 5.Did Cleopatra had any other husband/lover besides her first husband & Caesar? 6.Is it true that Cleopatra was renowned not so much for her beauty but more to her sexual prowess? 7.Is Brutus really the noblest of Romans as depicted by the movie? 8.Is it really true from the movie ,that Shutruk Nahhunte ,king/sovereign of Elam was ignored by historians as he did not bring civilization to his conquests How about some rulers of the Mongols then? Thank you.
