When I was a young child, I saw a few episodes of Battle of the Planets on TV. I also saw a few episodes of Star Blazers.
Recently, I rented and watched the Space Battleship Yamato movies from Netflix. And now I'm going through the Battle of the Planets series.
When my sister's friend came over tonight, I played an audio recording of the Battle of the Planets theme for him and asked if he recognized it. After a few incorrect guesses, I told him what it was. He said "Yeah, that's right! Boy, it brings back a lot of memories."
Anyway, he told me there was another anime series, that was on TV here in the U.S. before Battle of the Planets. I don't remember what he said it was called.
I never saw that series, because I came to America in 1978, the first year Battle of the Planets aired.
Can you tell me what that first anime series was called?
