Opening Online Transaction History JeffreyBryson 10/22/03
    Hi.

I assume because of your experience that you'll easily know the answer to my question. I downloaded this history file from my bank's site, and now I want to view it (add it to) in Quicken. When I open the downloaded file it wont open because Windows doesn't know which program to use. Naturally. The question is: precisely which file should I click in the Quicken folder when navigating to the correct program to open this download.

    Thanks in advance.

    Jeffrey

You think the QIFs are easy? The QFXs are even better. They go thru and compare to your existing register and match transactions. The great part is that it can automate the categorization of matched transactions.

      Nice.

What version of Quicken is necessary to do such cool things? :)

I believe Quicken 2000 or later supports QFX files. Many banks and credit card companies (Amex and Discover definitely do) support the QFX format for reconciling stmts thru Quicken.

      Hope this helps,
      Scottu
