Hello, I’m looking for someone who can explain the rules of getting engaged are? I’m looking to propose to my girlfriend. I’ve never been married and have no idea what steps to take.
For instance, I know I must get an engagement ring. What are the requirements? Then do I buy another ring when we get married? What happens to the engagement ring at that point? Are there rules to a timeline to get married after you propose? Typically a year right?
Any advice or resources are appreciated.
