I really need help finding a lost love ABreaux 12/09/03
    Hi,
In about 1985 or 1986 I was in an emergency shelter for kids and I met this boy there. Immediately we fell in love. We did everything in our power to stay there together, but they kept separating us. (This shelter was a temporary place for ward of the states to go when they just came in from home or just came in from another placement and needed another one). Anyway, we used to run away from our placements just so we could get back to the shelter to be with each other. Then we started running away together and just going for walks and sleeping outside and all that, no illegal stuff or nothing like that. Neither one of us had family so we had each other. Finally, they were able to separate us for good and we lost touch in 1987. I don't see "anyone" that knew him from back then. I have been searching for him for at least 2 years. I have spent over $3000 trying to find him so far. Up until today, all I had was a first and last name, his birth month and birth day with a "possible birth year, along with his little brother's possible name, too. I took a chance and called an old caseworker who was also a friend as the years went on and I told her what I had been going through and she gave me his "exact" date of birth, his social security number and his brother's "exact" real name. Great! Now, problem is: I am all tapped out and cannot afford to spend another dime right now, ( I no longer have any to spend due to this!)but I am desperate to find him. Even though it's been so long, there are still nights I stay up all night researching and wondering and worrying. What can I do? Are there any good, free resources out here? What are my options? I have done the yeloow page thing, as well. His name is a very common one, Williams. Please help.

Thank you soooo much. All options will be rated.

I have done everything that you have mentioned here except "go to" the social security office. I have called and they said they cannot give out that kind of information.
