What about the others? powderpuff 04/22/07
Is there something wrong with loving people even if they don't share the same faith based belief you hold for yourself? If you are sure you are right, is it ok to discard the value of those who reject your belief (since they are going to hell or you won't be seeing them in heaven anyway)? Could loving them, in spite of the differences in belief, do any harm to anyone? If you cast them aside, or try to insult them, are you increasing the chances a positive outcome? Is there a Christian answer to these questions?

..powderpuff, sure we can love those who have different belief from ours provided they have respect for us and our religion...I don't see how you can love a person who doesn't have respect for you and your religion, or if the person is bent on denigrating you or your religion...
.."Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him"-Luke 17:3
..The key words here are 'rebuke', 'repent' and 'forgive'...in that order....

Toms there is a way to go about 'challenging beliefs' and I bet that has a good bit to do with Powderpuffs post.

Yes we must love others. God loves all, He just doesn't love what everyone does. We do not have to love the sin, but we must love the sinner. No more, no less..

      Tom Bigot Smith,
Thanks for the black star. Those I GET FROM YOU are treated as valor awards.
In answer to your question, when I tell you that you are a bigot I am emulation God because I am telling you the truth about you.
      Live with it.

yeah Fred I don't get the black stars especially if it has anything to do with what Powderpuff was referring to. Seems like Toms is taking it personally when it was a generalized question that could mean any religious persons attitude.

      Dom
I say religious beliefs refering to the on going disputes between Toms and PHA and Toms and Hope and Peddles vs all others.
