I've asked several young check-out clerks at a local Super Market to manually count my change back to me after adding up my purchases. None could. Back to the computer they went.
Why can't some of our young people count change?

Clarification/Follow-up by tomder55 on 11/30/05 12:15 pm: Hey ;these are the jobs that Americans don't want ...right ?the future is in bar coding and self check out . look at the registers ;a Micky Ds clerk does not ring up the amt. of the item anymore ;the hit a button with a picture of a Big Mac on the key .a grocery clerk scans the code into the register ....why do you need to pay someone to do that ?
