Postmodernism is not so much a theoretical construct as Marxism is but rather a philosophical excursion or viewpoint of current though and expression.
The role of language is that of providing a cultural base for expression. These view points and philosophies are expressed in these languages but are not guided by them. Thus the philosophy may add to the structure and development of the language but does not form the foundation there of.
