ol' Home week at the White House? paraclete 11/19/08
Seems Obama hasn't looked too far from the tree so far
with Holdings for AG and Clinton for State, will we see Powell for Defense, Bill Clinton as Ambassador at large and many Obama homies in other departments

      Clarification/Follow-up by CeeBee2 on 11/28/08 5:33 pm:
Obama ran a fantastic campaign and used the Internet to his best advantage, he has already begun to change American attitudes and behaviors, he's teaming up people from all walks of life and experience across the board, and he's full of ideas.

BARACK OBAMA is the change! And, don't forget, boys and girls, he isn't President yet. Hang on to your hats once he is.

      Clarification/Follow-up by paraclete on 11/30/08 7:16 am:
Yes it seems he is attempting to be inclusive; at least, showing good sense in selecting people with experience, not everyone is a party hack. As to the ideas, we will see whether he has the goods to solve the big problems. Don't forget! his ideas arn't being implemented yet

      Clarification/Follow-up by CeeBee2 on 11/30/08 8:56 pm:
Yes, they are. Of course they are, and always have been since the beginning!

Whose idea was it to use the Internet to full advantage during the campaign? Whose ideas went into those fantastic speeches he gave? (He writes most of his own speeches, btw.) Whose idea was it to have his acceptance "party" at Grant Park in Chicago, with no alcohol or food venders, just hot chocolate and hot dogs by selected venders? (There was not one scuffle or other negative incident at that acceptance party, btw.) Whose idea is it to select the people he is selecting in the order he is selecting? Whose idea is it to first select the economy team (great move for the US which is very nervous, and he chose men we know will help him begin to get us out of this mess), and then after T'giving select and announce the Cabinet and the military advisors?

The "big problems" didn't happen overnight, and he won't fix them overnight. But he will make a good start with the great team he is putting together.

You missed the point of what I'm saying, until he takes over the administration all the big ticket ideas for change haven't been implemented yet, Bush calls the shots to 20/1, so the agreement with Iraq leaves troops there long after Obama has said he would remove them, the economic stimulas package is Bush's, etc

      Clarification/Follow-up by CeeBee2 on 11/30/08 11:05 pm:
Bush isn't doing much of anything, and any agreements or stipulations he made/makes can be changed. Nothing is written in stone. Bush sees the handwriting on the wall and will not do anything stupid any longer to screw up the world or the future of this country. Bush's reputation is so bad, he will just quietly disappear into the sunset (if he knows what's good for him and how positively or negatively history will treat him).
