I hate to say "I told you so..." kindj 06/04/07
Dunno if anyone remembers (or if I even said it here), but I've maintained since day 1 that Putin is a bad guy, who wants nothing more than a return to the bad ol' days.

    Well, here's another reason:

MOSCOW - Russian President Vladimir Putin warned that Moscow could take “retaliatory steps” if Washington proceeds with plans to build a missile defense system for Europe, including possibly aiming nuclear weapons at targets on the continent.

I don't like the guy. I don't trust the guy.

I think Gorby saw the cards for what they were, and decided it was better to fold with honor. I think he started something good, but a century of bad government cannot be undone by a single man.

True enough ;but we did squander an opportunity to prop up Yeltzin's democratic efforts .We should've had some kind of Marshall Plan in place. But wait ....who was the American President ? oh yeah ! ...the Clintonoids were running foreign policy.

Hey buddy, I guess I didn't know about the skin cancer thing. My prayers are with you.

But, you weren't alone in drinking imports yesterday, I had a couple of Coronas while burying my 10-year-old Blue Heeler. Man I miss that dog already...

I posted something about it on the "Hate Christianity" board a few days ago, but it probably got swallowed up in the pages of debris that is the norm these days.

Just got the pathology report back today (had the surgery last week--which hurt like hell, by the way). The doc got it all, and as of right now, doesn't see signs of any more.

I just look like Frankenstein right now, though. Five new scars, none less than two inches, most are about four. One head, one neck, one shoulder, one chest. The neck especially hurts, since there ain't a single thing you can do that doesn't involve turning or using your neck. Getting the stitches out tomorrow, at my insistence.

Looks like all will be well.

Speaking of necks, my wife has been a real pain in the neck ... or had anyway. She had neck surgery a couple of months ago so I understand why that wouldn't be pleasant for you. Anyway, good to hear all went well.
