....and would you have the courage to go about your business on a daily basis while car bombs are blowing up the shopping centers you shop at ? You may hope you have, but it is not assured since you do not live in their condition nor do you walk in their shoes. When you are socially, economically and politically subjugated you can easily be turned to a complete backward and limited person. And it stays with you for a long time.


I Suggest you read the blog reports from Omar and Mohammed who report from inside Baghdad at Iraq the model .

They could easily have bolted and made a good life for themselves some place else . Yet they stay to let the world what is really happening there .

I will agree with one thing however . Ultimately the Iraqis have to step up and take resonsibility for this experiment to succeed .Either that or the cycle of violence will continue until another Saddam emerges . Then they will be able to go back to blaming the new Saddam ,or the British ,or the Americans ,or the zionists for their lot in life .
