Elliot, I listen to a radio show that has lots of Bush's(and other's) words on tape and they run his most egregious and flip-floppy and just plain stupid comments all the time....compare one statement one time with a statement another time. The man is dumb as dirt, just a tool of others.

The latest poll I have seen was 2:1, but your point is well taken. You are right, if it was brought to a referendum, a vote in favor of fetal stem cell research would pass pretty overwhelmingly.

The question that I have is whether people want government money going for stem cell research. I have a feeling that a vote on government funding would be a bit closer than that.
