Terror Leader Al-Zarqawi Dies in U.S. Air Strike

BAGHDAD, Iraq (June 8) - Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, al-Qaida's leader in Iraq who led a bloody campaign of suicide bombings and kidnappings, has been killed in an air strike, U.S. and Iraqi officials said Thursday, adding his identity was confirmed by fingerprints and a first-hand look at his face. It was a major victory in the U.S.-led war in Iraq and the broader war on terror.

I got part of my answer on polling, Seattle Post-Intelligencer released this AP story just 40 minutes ago:
The death of al-Qaida leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi in Iraq comes at a time when more Americans than ever think the war in Iraq was a mistake, according to AP-Ipsos polling.
The poll was taken Monday through Wednesday before the news broke that terrorist leader al-Zarqawi was killed by U.S. troops. That polling right before the death of al-Zarqawi found that 59 percent of adults say the United States made a mistake in going to war in Iraq - the highest level yet in AP-Ipsos polling to say that. Approval of President Bush's handling of Iraq dipped to 33 percent - the lowest level yet on that measure in the poll.
Gotta rush that bad Bush news out after such a MAJOR accomplishment. Let's see what the next poll says.

How about 70 virgin sheep?
