NSA and Bush excon 05/12/06

    Hello goingdownthedrainers:

"The privacy of all Americans is fiercely protected in all our activities".

Bwa, ha ha ha ha ha ha. Chuckle, chuckle.... Oh, boy.

That's kinda like "Mission Accomplished" isn't it?

I know. You don'thaveanythingtohiders are just fine with it. But in fact, you don'thaveanythingtohiders, are really a bunch of havealottohiders, if say a secretly acquired video of one's bedroom activities all of a sudden appeared on the internet.

Or, it could be true, that don’thaveanythingtohiders, never screw, cause it’s dirty.

    excon

      Clarification/Follow-up by Itsdb on 05/12/06 3:59 pm:
Ah, I took "secretly acquired" to mean "secretly acquired," as in someone stole my video a la Paris Hilton, of which I have none to steal. Of course if a "secretly acquired video" as you describe it did appear on the internet I'd be outraged - and perhaps a bit proud that anyone would find my sex life worth watching. Of course there is a difference between someone taping me and knowing I have sex - kind of like taping my phone calls and knowing I make calls.

You might look into those red light cameras though, it 'is' taking place and it seems police may even be using them in their own phishing schemes.

And besides all that, if you knew what I know on available surveillance equipment (our company installs surveillance systems) you'd be even more concerned.

      Steve

      tom,

On CALEA, I noticed it said "surveillance pursuant to court order or other lawful authorization." What exactly is other lawful authorization? You mean someone before Bush actually saw a need for "lawful authorization" other than a warrant?

      Clarification/Follow-up by tomder55 on 05/12/06 5:27 pm:
yes that is what I was implying. This law has aready been challenged in court and upheld .
